Privacy Policy
What information we collect on our website and kiosks, how we use it and the choices you have.
Effective October 8, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how CityPulse Kiosks (“CityPulse,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with citypulsekiosks.com and its related pages (the “Site”), the CityPulse touch-screen kiosks installed in host venues (the “Kiosks”), and our communications with advertisers, host venues and visitors.
We keep things simple: the Site doesn't use advertising trackers, and you can browse a Kiosk without signing in or giving us your name.
2. Information you give us
We collect information you choose to share with us, for example when you email or call us, send an inquiry draft from the Site, become an advertiser or host, or ask for support. This can include:
- your name, job title, business or venue name, email address, phone number and website;
- venue details such as address, venue type, placement and connectivity information;
- campaign details such as your target market, goals, budget preferences, ad copy, logos and destination URLs;
- the contents of your messages, and billing details needed to invoice you under an agreement;
- when you order through the Site's checkout: your plan, chosen city and venue preference, business and contact details, ad text, destination link, and the logo or artwork files you upload.
Please don't send us patient information, health records, passwords or payment card numbers by email or through a Kiosk.
3. How the Site's forms and tools work
Checkout. When you place an order, your order details and uploaded files are sent through our form-delivery service (currently FormSubmit) to our inbox. You're then taken to Stripe to pay. Stripe collects and processes your card details under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of your payment, your email address and an order reference from Stripe.
Inquiry and contact forms. When you press send, what you entered is delivered to our inbox through the same form-delivery service. If delivery isn't available, the form instead opens a draft in your own email app, and nothing is sent until you send it.
Other tools. The campaign planner, creative studio and pricing calculator run in your browser. What you type into them isn't sent to us unless you carry it into an inquiry and send it. When you choose “Open in email,” the Site hands a draft to your own email app; we receive it only if you send it. “Copy text” places the draft on your clipboard, and “Download” saves a file to your device.
When you move from the planner or calculator to an inquiry form, the Site uses your browser's session storage to carry your answers to the next page, then clears them. Checkout also keeps a short order summary in session storage to show your order number on the confirmation page. Session storage is deleted when you close the browser tab.
4. Information collected automatically
On the Site. The Site is hosted by GitHub Pages and uses fonts served by Google Fonts. When your browser loads a page, these providers receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and the page requested, and may keep it in server logs for security and operations. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. The Site doesn't set its own cookies or run analytics or advertising trackers.
On Kiosks. Kiosks record anonymous usage events — for example, screens viewed, buttons tapped, ads displayed and QR codes or “send to phone” links used — together with the time and Kiosk location. We use these records to operate and improve Kiosks and to give advertisers and host venues aggregated reports, such as how many times an ad was shown. These reports contain totals, not information that identifies you. If a Kiosk offers to send a link to your phone, we use the phone number or email address you enter only to send that link and don't use it for marketing.
5. How we use information
- to respond to inquiries and support requests;
- to prepare proposals and quotes, and to provide, manage and bill for advertising campaigns and hosted Kiosks;
- to install, maintain, update and secure Kiosks and the Site;
- to produce aggregated reports for advertisers and host venues;
- to send service messages and, with your permission or where the law allows, occasional updates about CityPulse that you can opt out of at any time;
- to comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, our users and the public.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6. How we share information
We share information only as needed:
- Service providers who help us run the business — for example, Stripe for payments, FormSubmit (or Formspree) for delivering orders and messages, hosting, email, Kiosk software and maintenance, and accounting — under obligations to protect it;
- Advertisers and host venues, who receive aggregated, non-identifying Kiosk reports, and business contact details where needed to carry out an agreement with them;
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, legal process or to protect rights, property or safety;
- Business transfers, if CityPulse is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
7. Third-party websites and QR codes
Ads and QR codes on Kiosks and links on the Site may take you to websites run by advertisers or other third parties. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
8. How long we keep information
We keep orders, uploaded artwork, business contact and campaign records for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Kiosk usage events are kept in a form that doesn't identify individuals and may be retained for reporting and trend analysis. Phone numbers or email addresses entered to receive a link at a Kiosk are deleted once the link is sent.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by contacting sales@citypulsekiosks.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them. This policy describes those categories and uses. As noted above, we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Children's privacy
The Site is meant for businesses and adults. Kiosks are general-audience displays in public venues and don't ask visitors for personal information to browse. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including access controls on Kiosk management systems. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
